# A4: Equations and Formulae

### A4.1

#### Cross-Multiplying

Is where you have two fractions with different denominators and need to turn into a more simple fraction.
Like this:
$\frac{3x+8}{3}=\frac{5x+5}{6}$

So, to cross multiply you end up getting:

$3(5x+5)$
and
$6(3x+8)$

so:

$3(5x+5)=6(3x+8)$
